Ring sizing
The reliable way to size a finger is on a mandrel, in the showroom, and it takes two minutes. Everything else is an estimate — including the method below, which is here because people ask for it.
Measuring a ring you already own: lay it on a ruler and read the inside diameter across the widest point, then find that figure in the table. Measure the ring, not the finger, and measure a ring worn on the same hand.
Two things that catch people out. Fingers are meaningfully larger at the end of a warm day than first thing on a cold morning, so size in the afternoon. And a wide band sits tighter than a narrow one at the same nominal size — anything above about 6 mm usually wants a half size up.

Sizes set in bold are the ones we hold most rings in. Circumference is the measurement the British Standard is defined by; the diameter is derived from it.
