The house

Thirty days,
and a resize first

A ring that does not fit is not a ring you should have to return. Most of what comes back to us only needs the bench, so start there — and if it is genuinely wrong, thirty days is yours.

Changing your mind

If a stock piece is not right, send it back within thirty days and we will refund it. You do not need to give a reason, though we would genuinely like to hear one.

Use the label we provide. A piece posted back uninsured is travelling at your risk, and that is a risk nobody should take with a ring.

How long
Thirty days from the day it arrives. That is longer than the fourteen days the law requires of us, and it is deliberate — jewellery is often bought well ahead of the occasion.
Condition
Unworn, unaltered, and back with its box, certificates and any hallmark documentation. A certificate that goes missing costs more to replace than most returns are worth.
Refund
To the original payment method once the piece is back and checked, which takes a working day or two.
Return postage
Ours. We send a secured, insured label — please do not put it in an ordinary post box.

Most returns are a sizing

Far more rings are the wrong size than the wrong ring. Sending it back for a refund and ordering again wastes a fortnight and usually arrives with the same problem.

Full eternity rings and certain set shanks cannot be sized — the stones run the whole way round. Those we remake rather than resize, and we will have told you so before you ordered. See ring sizing.

  1. 01

Tell us it does not fit

Call or email before you send anything. Nine times in ten the answer is a resize and you keep the piece you chose.

  2. 02

It comes back to the bench

On our label, insured. We size it properly on a mandrel rather than guessing from the one you ordered.

  3. 03

    First resize is free

Within ninety days of purchase, on any ring we sold, up or down two sizes. After that it is charged at the bench rate.

The exceptions

What cannot come back

The list is short and every item on it exists for the same reason: the piece cannot be put back on the shelf.

None of this touches your rights if something arrives faulty, not as described, or fails in normal wear. That is a different matter, it is not time-limited in the same way, and we would want to know about it immediately.

Bespoke and commissioned
Anything made to your brief. It was made for you and cannot be sold to anyone else, which is why the law exempts it too.
Engraved or personalised
Once it carries a name, a date or a set of initials, it is yours.
Altered to order
A stock piece we sized, set or modified at your request before it shipped.
Pierced earrings
For hygiene, unless they arrive faulty. This is standard across the trade and not a judgement on anybody.
